Session of the Intergovernmental Russia – Emirates Commission on trade, economic and technical cooperation

On November 26, 2017 Director General of JSC «Holding Company „Ak Bars“ Ivan Egorov and Director General of JSC „Zelenodolsk Plant named after A.M. Gorky“ Renat Mistakhov took part in the working visit of delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan headed by RT President Rustam Minnikhanov in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates).
Within the frame of the visit the delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan headed by the President participated in the 7th session of Intergovernmental Russia – Emirates Commission on trade, economic and technical cooperation, which was held under the supervision of the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the UAE Abdullah Al Nahyan. Representatives of Tatarstan became the participants of business forum «Russia — UAE: perspectives of business cooperation», reports the Press Service of RT President.
When opening the work of Intergovernmental Commission session, Denis Manturov underlined that the United Arab Emirates is one of the leading foreign policy, trade and economic partner of Russia within the region of the Persian Gulf. He called attention to the fact that successive extension of mutually beneficial trade and economic, industrial, investment, humanitarian and cultural relations fully complies with the long-term interests of two countries and serves the purpose of maintaining peace and stability on a regional and global scale.
The Chief of RF Ministry of Industry and Trade noted the fact that scientific, technical and industrial cooperation of enterprises of peace-time industries is of particular importance: «We put high hopes on the development of a number of lines of innovative technologies, which will become highly receptive global markets in future. Therefore, our country is actively working over the most promising areas of cooperation in the field of unmanned ground, air and maritime transport vehicles, additive technologies and electronic economy».
The session was closed upon signing of a number of bilateral agreements.
